ZERO TO THREE® Announces Annual National Training Institute
ZERO TO THREE® will be holding its 23rd National Training Institute (NTI) on December 5–7, 2008, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, California. This year’s institute, “Connecting Science, Policy and Practice: Improving Outcomes for Infants and Toddlers,” will provide an opportunity for professionals to enhance their knowledge about early childhood development and features workshops and training sessions from leading experts in the field. This year, Dr. T. Berry Brazelton will be the speaker for the opening session. Scholastic Inc. Brings Back WiggleWorks
A new network edition of WiggleWorks, a PreK–3rd grade beginning reading and writing tool, is now available from Scholastic. WiggleWorks combines technology with leveled books and instructional materials to develop the reading, writing, and language skills necessary for future reading success. NACCRRA Issues National Parent Poll
The National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA) has conducted a poll of nearly 600 parents to help childcare providers learn more about what parents are looking for, what choices they make, and what their underlying assumptions about childcare are.
